A memorable gathering

We celebrated Mike and Val's 50th wedding anniversary this evening. The gathering was at Gilly and Dave's place L'Auberge des Vallees at the Pont des Gets. A quirky place which has stood still in time.  A gathering of old codgers both French and British with old bodies and young hearts, there was a lot of laughter and mixing of languages. I wish I had managed to capture a photo of the French lady who brought her white poodle complete with blue bows, diamond necklace and matching coat and hat. Had to make do with Jerry, Berni Phil and Dave who look very codgery and don't really capture the high spirit of the evening.
