A Royal Mile tour!

Firstly, I must apologise for not keeping on top of comments and replies. Hopefully, I'll catch up tomorrow. It's turned into a really busy week and it's all I have managed to do to post!

After yesterday's unexpectedly busy day with my trip to see the bridges and the Kelpies, I was looking forward to my breakfast even more than normal today! I can no longer imagine breakfast without haggis.

Today I met Ann, Baxter and John outside the Fringe Shop on the Royal Mile as I had mentioned that I had never actually been in any pubs on the Royal Mile despite trundling up and down there frequently. Today changed that!

I went up to the Camera Obscura first which is where today's picture of the castle comes from. I have loved the Camera Obscura since I was 15 and dad first took me there. I took a few pictures from the viewing gallery after the show followed by a few daft iPhone shots on the way down to the Fringe Shop past the cathedral where we had decided to meet.

We went to 4 different places I'd never been before and I was able to appreciate the full layered affect of Edinburgh piled up in that old part of the city. Despite the fact I had been wandering around for years there are certain hidden places I would never have known about.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the time! It was gone 10:30pm and we decided we'd better go home!

Another wonderful day in Edinburgh with great friends was at an end.

Track? Back to a gentle one from Paul Weller I haven't heard for a while. I love the words - Thinking Of You
