Hugh McDiarmid memorial

Coming back from a weekend in Carlisle I took the A7 tourist route back to Edinburgh. Passing through Langholm and seeing the sign for the Hugh McDiarmid memorial I thought I would go and see it. It's just off a road up a hill overlooking Langholm and is worth seeing. 
20 minutes after taking this photo in the sunshine the spring hail that I had seen approaching from the North East arrrived..
