Enter the Dragon...
Having seen that the sky was blue I took an early morning slog up Arthur's Seat this morning to view the eclipse. Even when eclipsed the sun is still too bright for my camera but a nice lady gave me a loan of her special eclipse glasses which I was able to use as a filter for a couple of snaps.
The clouds came over just at around 90% totality but I didn't mind that, they acted as a sun filter and we got a good view of the "smile"- someone has likened it to a big Cheshire Cat in the sky.
Well done to my fellow Blippers on their photos- there's some good ones on this site.
And the title of this blip: during eclipses the ancient Chinese thought a dragon was trying to swallow the sun.
