New Orleans, LA, swamps

After the commute to New Orleans, Louisiana, last night we had a wander down to Bourbon Street. As it was the weekend before St Patrick's day there was a larger than usual amount of people in the city.

Unfortunately the main reason for our 2 day visit to New Orleans was destroyed a bit by the sheer amount of alcohol and drunken behaviour by the thousands that lined nori in street. It wasn't until we discovered Frenchman Street that things improved somewhat and the real sound of New Orleans started to come through.

The next morning we took a trip to the swamps. At the cost of $50 each this actually proved to be the best bit of money spent as the tour guide on both the bus journey to the swamps and the swamp tour were very informative. This is certainly a "must do" for anyone wishing to head to New Orleans.
