Consolidation

The last of our visiting friends left today after almost three months with us here in Mexico. That means they acquired a lot of food stuff that they couldn't take back with them, so we were the proud recipients of any and all leftovers. Of course, being full time residents we already have most of the condiment items, so my task was to combine what was given with what we owned. These empties are the result of said consolidation, my now newly topped of bottles are safely away in the refrigerator. My wife said it is a great way to remember our friends once they are gone, to fix meals from the food they have generous given us. It is not enough, however, so we are taking a short trip inland to Morelia to forget how sad we are that our volleyball playing friends have now all returned to Canada and the United States. Pretty soon even our friends in the complex will be gone, leaving us all alone until November.
