"Hands off Soho"

The decimation of Soho by Crossrail took at least me by complete surprise and so attending today's protest seemed a fitting tribute to what the area has represented for so many young people from different backgrounds.

Unity through diversity is the key phrase today.

Most people come to London because they feel they don't fit into world they grew up in. For myself I grew up in the industrial North West where there were not many opportunities for designers or photographers.

My first experiences of London were in Soho where there were artists aplenty as well as musicians and a healthy LGBT community.

Today we were all out in force to say no to the developers.
