Aquilegia
Purposeful pottering this afternoon. I planted one of my newly painted barrels with lilies and a sedum Xenon. The second one I planted with a plum coloured climbing rose called Rosa Guinee. Promised myself I would look after it better than in the past and hopefully get good strong growth for the trellis. More tidying in the greenhouse to make space to work. I planted seeds!!! Cleome, didiscus, delphinium, white larkspur. All are now in seed trays in the heated propagator. I will now spend the next 8 weeks or so fretting about the 'babies'.
Generally in the garden, Things are beginning to pop up, including this aquilegia. I love the way the new growth forms tiny little rosettes. Close up you can see the force of spring.
