Covered in Bees

Low Rise

The last night under canvas - not a great nights sleep. If you've ever tried sleeping on a diagonal slope you'll understand!

If you've never camped in the hills you probably won't realise how difficult it is sometimes to find a flat pitch that isn't on bog or covered in spiky heather and rocks. You have to decide if you want shelter if there's wind, or exposure to see a sunrise or sunset from the door of your tent. But it's always worth it :o) Even in Winter (you just need a bit more stuff!).

We were up very early again, before sunrise, to get some more photo's and make a swift headway home.

This photo is from the side of Haweswater as the sun was rising behind the fells to the East.

So an awesome trip and I'm keen for many more this year!

I'm obviously so behind with catching up with journals - again thanks for the hearts and stars and comments since Thursday - I haven't thanked anyone yet but I will! Just might take a day or two!
