Hanging in the Balance....

Or, perhaps, balancing in the hanging!

This tiny Hummingbird was discovered by my camera and me sitting high up on the old television antenna on the roof this morning. The little bugger sat up there, just looking down at me.

I stood on the back deck, heavy telephoto lens mounted to the camera, waiting and waiting. As though testing my tenacity, that wee bird just sat there!

Suddenly, that "lightbulb" moment struck and I hopped down off the deck. I squatted down, placing the camera between balusters in the deck railing. Then, I waited.

Within minutes, the little Hummingbird looked as though it was freefalling right on down to the feeder. Eureka! I was able to snap away and the little bird didn't even seem to notice me and the camera!!

I chose this photo because I like how she spread her wings as though adjusting herself on the perch.
