Roadside Poppies

What a miserable day!

We awakened to overcast skies and lots of rain. My, but whave had so much rain this year! I had adentist appointment at 9am, so I was unsure I would even find a suitable subject today!

I left for my appointment several minutes early, thinking I would stop by the lake. There is usually something of interest there, after all. I stopped, but there was nothing....not even a duck or a goose! Bummer...

I made my way down toward the dentist's office when some bright orange caught my eye! Yes indeed! A more lovely (although somewhat droopy)subject could not be found. I love these pretty poppies...rain and all!
