Thursday, March 19, 2015 -- Last Day of Winter

Winter ends. Here in southern California, we’re not sure winter ever arrived. We’ve had a little bit of rain, but not nearly enough. So I walked out into our backyard today and found the little gems in today’s photo. That was pure evidence that spring arrives tomorrow.

My students had their first semester quiz today. This is Week #5 of the semester. I’m always a little stunned with the speed of the semester. I tell my students that if they blink, 15 weeks will be gone in an instant. I actually try to convince them that they really do want to tune-in and get all they can get from the class because they won’t have a chance to get the knowledge or the skill if they miss it while they are enrolled in the class.

So after some pillow hours, spring will be here.
