When our granddaughter, Ashly (yes, without an “e”) and her boyfriend Robert arrived at their weekend destination, they sent this photo of themselves.
 
They left about noon and planned to drive to Santa Monica on the coast and then turn north and drive to Pismo Beach. I just encouraged her to send photos throughout their weekend and I was thrilled to get this one.

They are celebrating this weekend. It is the end of her winter quarter of studies at Cal Poly Pomona. Ashly is preparing to become a teacher. They are also celebrating their third anniversary of going together.
