Spring, sprang, sprung
Upset my one class this morning, they really didn't want to believe me that there was no perfect translation for the round in football that comes before the quarter finals. They were so miffed that I texted Mr K, on the offchance that I was wrong and maybe there was a word. All he could offer was 'sixth round' or 'last 16'. So they were still miffed. To make it up to them I introduced them to 'read, read & red' and then just to be spiteful 'heard, herd, hear & here'.
Today has been unremittingly grey, the sky seeming so low as to touch the tree tops, hence the need for a colourful blip. During the not winter months there is always a flower stall just off the autobahn on my way home, when he disappears you know that winter is really on its way, but when he reopens, it's truly a sign that sring has sprung.
