tadpoles and blip back-up
We dispensed with tradition this Paddy's Day as we have decided not to grow potatoes this year. Instead we got on with other jobs in the garden, mainly getting started on the planting of a new area of shrubs for wildlife.
This morning I was told that a screenshot of a liquidation notice had been posted so it appeared the blipfoto problems are all definite, and not just rumour any more. Whilst keeping positive and believing that it will all be ok, my main concern was to get my whole journal backed up just in case.
As far as I could gather the only way to do this was by taking an individual screenshot of each entry, which I set about doing. But I have 1,223 entries and I was fed up with it before I had done 23. It was going to take forever.
I mentioned it to my son, who is technical director of a successful IT company. He worked some techy magic and before long sent me my entire journal, in jpeg and text documents, by dropbox. So I now have my whole journal safely backed up in a zip file on my hard drive.
And now there are reassuring and positive words from blipcentral too and I feel sure that all will be well.
btw my son is happy to help anyone else retrieve their journals, just let me know.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone !
