In the Same Way when we disagree....
So I woke this mother's day to a barrage of emails from angry, panicked blippers; , messages from Blipper's the world over. Some saying good bye, some telling me where they could be found, and some bemoaning the actions or non-actions of Blip Central and most specifically Joe.
My heart bleeds for Joe. Whatever the situation with Polaroid Blipfoto; People are saying awful things, and Blip was Joe's baby. Joe's dream.
Has something gone wrong? No one really knows.
Is it going to shut tomorrow? Nobody knows.
But what ever is happening, he made it happen. He brought thousands of people together in one place, to celebrate life.
LIttle bits of life, big bits of life. He inspired us to look closer, think more carefully. Celebrate everything we have, everything we do. He brought people together, made friends, reunited people, made partnerships.
Whatever happens tomorrow morning, and I'm really hoping that nothing does, we should all move forward, happy that we were involved with such a great project, and promise that we will keep up the good work in our own wee corners of the universe, and continue to Save Our Lives.
It's not the end of the world.
And for Mother's Day... Thank you, my two amazing, gorgeous, talented, loving, generous, crazy, mad children for making me just that. A Mother.
