Mother's day prep

M had made his things for Mothering Sunday at school during the week. He did take part in the choices of flowers, chocolate and a sign, but Lauren was most definitely in charge of making the hand tied bouquet and her card and some beautiful wrapping.
My jobs involved ferrying them around, assisting in the Mother's Day shopping, cutting apple blossom from the tree, building Lego, assembling lunch, helping with maths homework and taking (feigning?) an interest in Minecraft (I was completely bamboozled). We completely forgot that the rugby was on!
I came away with a box Lauren had made for me containing a glass bead necklace and a beaded bookmark, so although there isn't an Aunty's day, what with that and Morgan blocking my way saying 'Don't Go' when I left to go to the theatre, I felt pretty loved.
And I still want to be a parent. Oh well.
