Whisky

Another lovely sunny day saw a late lunch at Mother India's Cafe where we had a lovely Indian tapas; we chose a variety of dishes; 6 dishes between 4 of us plus a couple bowls of rice and a couple nan breads was more than enough to satisfy everybody.

We then headed to the WhiskyStramash at the Surgeons' Hall . It was a great event with a large selection of Whiskies from all over Scotland (and a couple from India) available for tasting as well as a short "murder mystery play" which was quite amusing.

If I had one complaint it would be a lack of information on the individual whiskies, the staff were very helpful and more than willing to tell you about their whiskies, but with the crowds it would have been useful to have a simple print out available detailing the specific whiskies on offer, many did have promotional leaflets but most of those didn't details the specific whiskies.

Anyway it was a very enjoyable way to spend the evening, although keeping track of which whiskies I preferred did get a little difficult by the end of the evening :-)

I did manage to take this picture of one of my favourites of the day; which was the 10 Year Old "Ledaig" from the Tobermory Distillery
