Edge of the loch

Minty and I joined the world and his wife for a refreshing walk along the east side of Loch Lomond this afternoon. It was my first trip to the loch this year, not counting a visit to the café at Balmaha when we didn't actually see the loch.

A short section of the West Highland Way near Milarrochy had been dangerously eroded by the weather over the winter and was cordoned off, forcing walkers to make their way round on soft ground which had become a bit of a mud-bath. I hope a repair job can be carried out before the season gets properly under way.

Minty had a lovely time - plenty dogs to meet and greet, and no shortage of sticks to chase - and I enjoyed it too, even though it was very chilly and dull.
