Promenade

We joined the local walking group in Caunes to head out over the hills above Villeneuve on a beautiful morning where you could see the Montagnes d'Alaric and the Pyrenees, including Canigou.  In one place the mimosa was flowering and I saw a splendid hellebore (foetidis I think).  This photo was taken at the Dolmen du Palet de Roland, supposedly where Roland was laid after his death.  Archeological studies suggest otherwise!  Still, it was a good walk and we practised our French and shared an apero with our neighbours.
