...I'd planned to leave it at least a few more days before blipping any more wild flowers (let alone daisies!).

However I think it is probably the best photo that I managed take this morning so that's why it's here. Sorry!

Update on my blip of 2nd May:
evidently trees on Cannock Chase are not felled if they show signs of woodpecker activity.
So that's reassuring then.
