Heron

We arrived at the Abel Tasman national park, one of the mai highlights of visiting New Zealand.
We took a water taxi up the coast then walked back to base. The 5 hour walk sounded like a good idea but was a bit too long for my liking at 35 degree heat! Some of the walk was uphill and I got some amazing views of the coastline below, however as I arrived back to base there was some marshland and I was able to spot lots of birds. I love birds so this ended up being the highlight of my day, which is funny since I only would have had to walk 10 minutes from where we were staying rather than the 5 hour hike. I took lots of photos of birds but my favorite was this grey heron :)
