Grey Shoulder knot

Firstly a HUGE thank you to all you lovely blippers for your comments, congratulations, stars and hearts on my second anniversary blip yesterday, you generosity just blows me away!
Back to earth for today's blip, another goody from my moth trap!
Trapping is beginning to get going again, but it is quite slow, and with the weather cooling down again it feels like a case of one step forward and two steps backwards!
This little beauty is a Grey Shoulder-knot Lithophane ornitopus.
The Grey Shoulder-knot is a woodland species which is found uncommonly in the southern part of the UK. It has a wingspan of 32-38mm and the adults emerge in September and October , hibernate and re- appear from February to April.
It is quite similar to the Blair's Shoulder-knot (see my blip 29.9.14), but that moth only flies in the autumn.
