Step 1

Shhh - don't tell anyone, we got the keys for our new house early.  We pay for it next Friday and then it officially belongs to us and the bank.

This means we can start taking stuff over and putting it in the (very dry and large) cellar and we don't have to have such an enormous move when we do actually move out (middle of next month).

That's a pretty positive end to the week.
