Mort

Today the world lost a great writer. Writing himself out of this world, one of Terry Pratchett's last tweets showed his sense of humour as keenly as ever: "AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER". His fans will know the capitals denote one of his most popular, and surprisingly funny, characters - DEATH.

I (Annie) had the absolute pleasure of meeting him while at University in London - and he signed my favourite of his books, Pyramids. He was a funny, knowledgeable and gifted man, and the world has lost a special person today. The Independent has a wonderful article summing him up with his own quotes - do take a browse.

"The whole of life is just like watching a film. Only it’s as though you always get in ten minutes after the big picture has started, and no-one will tell you the plot, so you have to work it out all yourself from the clues." - Moving Pictures, Sir Terry Pratchett.

The End.
