More trees

By 8.30 am No 2 daughter and I were in the (normally very crowded) toddler play park to find nobody else around, so we had a go on the seesaw and swings - (we also gave Thomas have a turn).  When they went off to do a ramble with the nature warden, Mr C and I made our escape from Colditz Center Parcs.

I wish I'd taken a picture of one of the notices I saw which just sums up the place for me.  It said - "Save yourself the bother of taking a towel to the pool - hire one from us for £2".

In term time the place was full of families with under-5s.  Everybody we saw had buggies, babies and toddlers, yet in the play park there were only 2 swings for little ones.  This is obviously to make sure you have to go to the soft play area where you pay.

We drove home via the Roman Military Road beside Hadrian's Wall - I decided not to blip the famous Robin Hood tree in the gap, but we did stop for this stand of trees.  It does seem a strange choice after me moaning about feeling claustrophobic among all the pine trees, but I liked it.

Mr C is researching to find out if the company that owns Center Parcs is like Starbucks etc and avoids paying tax.  Then we have a good reason for not returning!
