After the storm..

.. the calm. We didn't have any major damage although I lost one cold frame containing a lot of cuttings I'd been nurturing over the winter and our daffodils will sadly probably not survive to flowering.
Today blue skies and hardly any wind. So good I got up and drove Tricia to work so that I could have the car and enjoy the scenery. I've always enjoyed this tree standing solitary in its field on the north of North Uist. It has clearly been bent by the wind but has managed to stand firm.
So nice was the weather that I even spent a couple of hours outside in the garden reading - tomorrow it looks like business as normal.
