The big guns from the Otterburn Range 20 miles away have been booming for the last 3 weeks. The house is shaking. They are either spending their quota before the next financial year, or getting it all done before the lambing season when they have to stop. Just hope it's not preparing for a pre-election war distraction.

Nice bright lipstick blip before I make the day's big decisions - which one to put on for book group? In fact I'd better stop messing about and finish the book. Then it's off to town to babysit.
