Volunteers night

Once a year, the local hall committee hold a "thank you" evening for all the volunteers in this community who help-out with the weddings and other functions (cooks, waitresses, stewards, movers, sound, dish-washers, and a hundred other tasks). Last year was a quiz night, this year after a lovely meal in the hall, we had a casino night. The party organisers gave us plastic chips and explained the rules to us (For most us, our first "casino" experience). It was a lot of fun, but I think most of us have forever been cured of any idea of ever playing for real money!
