Bumble Bee gathering pollen

Don’t know much about bees, but know enough to realise they are generally benign, hard working beautiful insects that contribute massive amount for us by way of pollination and yields of honey, which has wonderful health and healing benefits as well as tasting yummy! Apparently honey is so amazing it has an indefinite shelf life.
Trying to photograph a bee wasn’t easy, I tried in Harrison's garden centre where we went for lunch, but gave up -partly the lack of speed of the auto focus on my camera. When doing a bit of gardening back home I saw this little chap.
I’m assuming the pale yellow cluster on it’s rear legs is a successful days work collecting - the pollen. 
I’m assuming too this is a bumble bee - but I’m no expert!
