After the Thunderstorm

After two months with little rain it poured today! Funny how you miss the heavy rain, and how we can enjoy being cosy inside enjoying the excuse to simply read or listen to music or just be still.

This shot was taken just after a thunderstorm which rained down hailstones as well as rain. The land needs it badly, and in Waikanae the river is so low the council has been using bore water, although this happens most summers here.
