From Kokonga to the finish of the trail at Middlemarch downhill with a 25-30km wind behind us.

We sure flew!

This huge irrigation sprayer was struggling upwind ..... and so were lots of riders who were just starting out on their trail ride uphill.
I am sure glad we weren't going their way!

This monument is at the site of the Hyde train crash, when 21 people were killed in 1940 en route to Wingatui races. Apparently the driver had been drinking and took the corner too fast.
