Minchellas

Minchellas is well known in the North East of England....it's a family-owned business, most famous for it's ice cream.  This cafe in South Shields (think it's on Sea Road) is a favourite with bikers.
The first time Andy took me there, there were loads of bikers.....and it was pretty cool to pull up there, and just be part of that crowd.
We went inside, and Andy held the door open for me as always (not sure why that location stands out in my mind.....but probably because I remember thinking to myself that he does it every time....yet another notch on his belt for being such a gentleman)....I just remember walking through those doors with a massive smile on my face.  I was here with him - this gorgeous man in his leathers.
Andy sat em at a table and went to order some ice cream.  When he came back, very shortly after that this little boy came up to him and started talking to him.....but not looking directly at him.....but looking over at something else.......I don't remember exactly what this little boy said, but I do recall him turning and actually looking at Andy..........and at that second the little boy realised he wasn't his Dad.  He totally and utterly burst out crying, and seemed frightened.
His Dad came over for him, and the little boy clung on to him so tight.  We watched as the Father and Son went back to a table where Mum and sister were.
Andy got up, went to the counter, and ordered an ice cream.  When he was given it, he took it over to the little boy and apologised for giving him such a fright.
I know I'm sentimental.......but my heart was in my mouth.  I was so in awe of this gorgeous man, with his white teeth smile.....and this little gesture told you so much about him.
I just couldn't take my eyes off him.  I ate.  I watched.  We got up to leave, and I practically skipped alongside him.  
PS - He held the door open or me again, and off we went - me pillion on his bike.  Glorious sunny day......left the rest of the bikers sitting/standing near the beach.
