Waiting in the Sun

Spent a long time after school / work today playing in the sunshine in the garden.

The little ones were undertaking a mini Olympics using the 'olympic' paddling pool and doing all sorts of challenges involving jumping in and out of the pool, clambering up the climbing frame and jumping off onto the trampoline and being wheeled around the garden in the wheelbarrow (by me).

Scores of 9.8, 9.9 and 10.0 all round for effort.

I spent a long time balanced on the garden table trying to catch a shot of either one of the pair of blue tits in or out of the nest box they are currently nesting in. No luck there, but it was very cute to see their little eyes peeking out from the dark.

Then I spent a long time trying to catch a shot of my little ones jumping in and out of the Olympic pool. No luck there either, the shots with the kids in them would not have passed the decency test and the ones without were just empty shots of the grass and paddling pool.

If you look carefully in this one you'll see the older ones feet, and just a little splash from his journey through the water hurdles.
