Noah and the Whale

There are several versions of Noah's story. Some people say that he landed on what he thought was an island but which was really the back of a whale. Others have it that he took shelter in a cave which turned out to be a whale's mouth. Several stories maintain that Noah thought that he was on the back of a whale but that, all the time he was waiting for the whale to submerge, he was actually on an island. Even more of the accounts talk about Noah's life in a cave which he was convinced was a whale's mouth.

And one tale tells us that Noah believed himself to be inside a whale whilst he was really inside another, different, whale.

All of the stories, however, end badly. And wetly.
