Morning
I stayed in Campbeltown last night but had to leave early to get to Edinburgh for a Stage 3 debate in the Parliament which always attracts a three line whip.
I was out and on the Campbeltown pier just after 7.00 and was lucky to capture a spectacular sunrise over Arran, which can just be seen in outline. Campbeltown Loch was more blue than whisky gold though.
There was frost and ice but no snow when I left. However the journey took five and a half hours because of atrocious road conditions at Tarbert ( where lorries were getting stuck in the falling snow just north of the village) and blizzard conditions over the Rest & Be Thankful.
But with patience and care a Land Rover can usually make it through !
