Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

What really matters

A full on day starting with the fitting of the Professor's new hearing aid (no more excuses for ignoring me).  Then physiotherapy for me - apparently my single leg balancing is phenomenal but my ankle slow to repair and may need an X ray.  Thence to Glasgow to have lunch with the lovely and ridiculously flattering Jettygirl  and home to deal with some domestic trials.  The internet was down for most of the evening so I didn't do the admin I had planned.  As the telly was also down, the Prof and I chose an old DVD to watch instead - Zorba the Greek.  It is amazing the enduring appeal of Anthony Quinn in this wise and classic film.  Just before bed I put my arm around the Prof's shoulder and whispered in his ear, 'Boss, I have so much to tell you... I have never loved a man as much as you...'  We didn't actually dance on the beach, but it felt as tho' we had.
