Traffic jams and diversions due to a roundabout being 'repaired' (I hope it is to have an anti-skid surface put down. It has the most hellish history of vehicles going through railings all round it ....... no idea why it is so bad).

Squirrel being the cheekiest monkey ever, but well behaved despite being very tired -- that's not normal.

PD dropped off with us as usual.
PD collected at lunchtime (The Captains Mate sent home due to illness)
PD dropped off again (family emergency).

Call from a friend in the faint hope I still had a spare key for a car I sold her 2 years ago ........ no chance.
She had locked hers in the boot.
I went to see if I could get in using 'old work methods'.
Her hubby had been trying for some time and failing.
20 minutes later she had her keys back and no damage done.
Coffee supplied in way of reward.
Lots of fun and laughter with other friends who happened to turn up.

I am now sitting with a dram being fed high quality alcoholic chocolate by SWMBO, listening to said downloaded album.
