Possibly The Worst Thing We Have Cooked In Years

We are usually protein and veg/salad folks who really don't go much for pasta.

Today it was cold and snowed all day and we fancied something "hearty" for dinner. A bolognese sauce was unearthed in the freezer but we didn't have any spaghetti. One of us (not me) had a lightbulb moment and found something akin to wholewheat penne (5 years past it's sell by, but well who cares), in the pantry and said "Hey we could make one of those sort of cheesy baked ziti things that american's like with this, the sauce and some cheese...."

Cheese was duly de-furred and de-moulded, bolognese was zapped in the microwave, pasta was boiled and the whole lot mixed together, poured in a dish and baked.

Here is the result, the most unsatisfying dinner I have eaten in a long, long time. I was just glad I only had a small portion with a big salad. The rest went in the bin. I can't imagine even an american would have enjoyed this, LOL!!!
