Happy Birthday!

We finally arrived at mum's at about 1.30am after an awful journey last night.  Normally it's great travelling at night as the traffic gets quieter the later it gets, but not last night!  Not only was there a lot of traffic, but part of the M6 was closed, so we had to follow a diversion through Birmingham in what was equivalent to rush hour, but with a load of trucks.

Anyway, it was well worth it to see my girls today.  We had a lovely family meal and the restaurant brought her a huge plate with 'happy birthday' decorated in chocolate sauce and a firework size candle, which as you can see Scarlett loved!

It's been a lovely day and we're now at Alan's parents where we staying overnight before our journey home tomorrow - a very short but sweet visit :-)
