Time for an end of the week quickie
As I was saying yesterday with my track choice, it's all or nothing!
Work was steady. I think lots of people are using up bits of leave so I was able to crack on with some testing and tedious admin stuff.
Mom rang me up on my mobile soon after 9 to tell me that the cheese she had received in her shopping had a date on of the 20th of February and asked if I'd send Tesco an email to complain. She had also received a bag of minty Aero Bubbles and wondered if they were to make up for the cheese. I assured her that I had ordered them deliberately by accident. I think they won't last long.....
In other news (as there wasn't much today) I got tickets yesterday to see the Proclaimers in December at the Edinburgh Playhouse. 3 rows from the front too! I'd warned David (my hotel owner friend) earlier in the week that I'd be trying for tickets yesterday as soon as they were on sale. I also got tickets for three days earlier at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Not so close to the front but it's a lovely venue.
A man from Tesco rang me up after lunch in response to my email to apologise for the old cheese, refund my £2.75 and to assure me that the Ayr store staff would be going through the shelves checking for old stuff!
That's it for today. There were too many birds to choose from. The robin won but only just, being closely followed by long tailed tits, a coal tit, a blue tit, a great tit, a starling having a bath, a fat pigeon and two sparrows!
Track? Here is a fine one from 1976 I heard on the radio earlier - (Don't Fear) The Reaper
