Brave baby

I took Katie to the dentist to have her tooth looked at, from the fall at school. The outcome wasn't what I expected. They said it needed to come straight out and did there and then under a local anaesthetic. Tight in my arms and clutching monkey. I was so proud of how brave she was. She let the dentist get on and sat good as gold. She was told she could have two stickers for being so brave. She cried in the car when the anaesthetic wore off, before I had got calpol in her. I took her to see my sister before we set off home to calm and distract her. By the time we left she was tired but happier. She really wanted her jammies but I hadn't taken any, not expecting this scenario, so we bought her a snuggly new one pair. She has been such a brave miss about it all.

In other news, She's been studying the planets at school so before school she had drawn a picture of them all and done some writing. As I dropped her off, one of the part time teachers pulled me aside to say how beautiful her writing is.

On the way home she told me "I made a picture book today at school". When asked about the pictures and story she said "it's about you, monks and me. And a random pig".
