Aiguille de Bionnassay

After the last few days of glorious sunshine waking today to more heavy snow & a very low grey sky* made it hard to get motivated & get going. It didn't help when C suggested we start the day with a trip to the patisserie & more coffee.
Eventually we were dressed & heading out the door - a glance up the hill confirmed the view from the balcony - there wasn't a view! So seeing the ridge of the fabulous (take my word for it) Bionnassay rising from behind our car park I grabbed this shot - and sure enough wasn't able to better it in the four hours we toughed it out skiing. During those four hours four inches of snow fell - the avalanche risk is now super high - as we were calling it a day the ski patrol were fencing off huge area's & putting up signs.

* This Blip is NOT mono/B&W - this is exactly how today turned out when I loaded it up.
Fortunately the forecast for tomorrow is much much better.
