Educational excursion

Eden Camp was the destination of today...a place Alex has been selling to me to the last time we went to Whitby...
A war museum built on the site of an old POW camp. I was quite excited at the prospect of this school trip!
There was lots of heavy duty reading but it was a charming old fashioned place- all the materials mounted on foam core in glass cabinets & some pretty radical looking mannequins in the displays.
I really liked it though & was glad I finally got there - and it seemed that all 4 younger members liked it too despite the hardcore subject matter.
An annoying encounter with a very rude restauranteur lead to four kids' teas at Weatherspoons & a home cooked pizza for Alex & I...
A nice active (but freezing cold!!) day.
