Away we go...

The start of our Whitby trip!
After squeezing the six of us & all our luggage into the hire car, our day out enroute was to York.
We strolled about, having lunch in a little cafe & visiting the National Railway Museum. For a free attraction it was worth the money. I spent a good portion of the time lifting Ferguson & Gracie up onto the engines for photos.
Considering I'm not really a train spotter, it was pretty interesting & I think it was enjoyed all round.
Following quite a hairy drive & subsequent reverse in a large car along a super narrow cobbled street, we arrived at the cottage & then headed out for a hearty pub grub tea. Probably the first of many helpings of chips...!
