Snowy Owl

It was only five above zero when I walked onto the dividing line of busy highway to capture this photo......I really felt threatened by all the traffic whizzing by me in all four lanes.  My husband and I had been stalking
this owl for weeks.....It had been hanging out here because of
available lands  for good mouse hunting.  There it sat monitoring traffic.
My hands were frozen by the time I made it back to the car...  I then
had to sit on them for 15 minutes to warm them up...BUT I did
finally photograph this owl.....Yes!
 

I am excited to have been able to capture this owl.....happy I am still alive also!
