Pink sky in the morning

I was up early enough to see some colour in the sky this morning.  It isn't actually difficult now, as the sun is rising so much later.  This shot could almost have been taken from our deck, but I was a little further up the hill looking out over the plains with one of the spurs of the Port Hills in the foreground (that is visible from our house).  

The morning was beautiful; warm, still and sunny, but around lunchtime the southerly hit as predicted.  It is frustrating, as we have had strong winds that are blowing dust everywhere, but still no rain to break the drought.
