Our purple flowers

They are so utterly beautiful at this moment, our purple flowers which we've captured each year together.

This morning was an absolute treat for me, a pedicure (my first since the night Callum was born!) by my lovely friend at school. And then home for hours sorting out my website domain but that's now done. 

They're insanely difficult to photograph due to their vibrancy. That matched with the fact that at the magic hour, the purple and especially these yellow wildflowers close up so it was a matter here of using backlight and popping back some light into Callum's face with a reflector.

I'm amazed that in our vast urban sprawl we still have this piece of wildflower magic.
