In the Garden

Grandpa stayed overnight with us last night. I think Ethan had forgotten until he spotted Grandpa's car in the driveway when he came downstairs this morning (Grandpa was still in bed at this point)!

I got a call from the swimming pool to say Ethan's swimming class was cancelled. Someone had been sick in the pool so it needed to get cleaned out. Yuk!

So, instead we headed over to Bathgate with Grandpa, to visit the Foreveryoungs. It was a really hot day today so out came the paddling pool, which made up for Ethan missing his class!

He was having a great time until round about noon when he got really cranky. As he'd been up since just before 6am he was clearly tired and when I asked if he wanted a sleep in his pushchair he said yes. After sleeping for an hour he woke up but was really upset and was complaining of a sore head. I ended up giving him calpol and taking him upstairs to the spare room to lie down and cuddled him. He eventually cheered up and played outside again with Eden and Foreveryoungs friends wee girls who were also over in the afternoon. But he then dipped again, refused most of his dinner and was really tetchy and complaining of a sore head again. He had a bath there and wanted to stay the night but we came back home. He was crying in the car on the way back but was asleep in bed just after 8pm.
