Back into the USA
The sign before the border said 20 minutes, but I think it had to be longer with the long line of cars…lots of Canadians come down to shop in the US—- 4 out of 6 regular lanes open at 10:30 AM. But we have a Nexus pass so there were only 2 cars in front… It’s so worth the hassle and a little bit of money to get this prescreened one. I saw a beautiful bright green field absolutely full of white swans or geese?? on the way down to Seattle but I was driving so couldn’t catch it. Not sure I’ve ever blipped the newly remodeled border crossing. The Canadian/American border is hugely long - lots of ways to cross illegally…surely someday we can be done with this nonsense.
When we got to Seattle I was assaulted with flowering trees and blossoms. It looks like Spring came while we were gone! Wish I could have had some of these beautiful flowers for my viking boat last night. —I did forget there were white water hawthorn blooming in our pond.
We got here and took a nap - leaving the dock at 7:00 AM is really hard for us non-morning people - at least it’s light now at 7 and we certainly lucked out with the weather. But we needed to go to the phone store to cancel our Canadian phone and unlock it since our new US one works there. Switched our opera tickets tomorrow for next week as H is too sick to go….
You can barely see the artwork "non sign " over the red car -gives one an idea of it's placement....
